This 30-day course is designed to teach you the tools and skills to become embodied. Each day you'll learn a new step that will teach you how to not only listen to your body, but also how to respond. 

Each day watch a video, and complete the exercises. It's that easy. The material has been designed to offer support and pacing that allows you to take the learning and integrate it into your body's knowing. Are you ready to have a relationship with your body, and learn how to come home to yourself?

Day 1: Setting The Stage

Today we are setting the tone for this course by inviting your body into this work with you. I will walk you through an experiential activity, and talk about what to expect in the course. 
Please have a pen and paper handy to take any notes regarding today's class.

Day 2: Why The Body Matters

Today we will answer the question: "Why does the body matter?"

We will cover topics like why experiential learning is important, memory, trauma, ways talk therapy misses the mark, knowing vs feelings, and more. The goal of this lesson is to value the body's importance, and to establish that your body is never separate from you. This concept will aid you in the rest of the lessons, and in life.

Day 3: Basic Body Concepts

In todays lesson we will start to expand our vocabulary by focusing on some core concepts of the somatic approach. You can expect to learn about the window of tolerance, sensations, and the balance between labeling and observing. 

The goal of this lesson is establish the language we will use throughout this work, and to create a familiarity for yourself with the materials you'll come back to time and time again.

Day 4: Memory

In this lesson we'll dive in deeper to your personal body's memories. You'll be guided in the use of sensations to track your body's experiences as well as learn how to tell if something may be connected to a past memory. 

The goal is to begin practicing your hands on skills, like sensations and tuning into the body. This will be your most frequently used tool as you progress forward in this work.

Day 5: Awareness

Focusing on this tool, though it may feel intangible, is a critical part of your deepening somatic skill set. In this lesson, we'll go into more detail about how to track your experience. This will give you the ability to connect the dots, and establish core insights. You'll practice tools and learn new vocabulary like titration and regulation. 

The goal of this lesson is to shed light on your personal patterns, and begin practicing dipping a toe in the water.

Day 6: Resources

Today we will look at what a resource is, and how to distinguish a resource from an avoidance mechanism. We'll look at what signs your body is responding to a resource, and what happens when your resources aren't working.

Day 7: Body Check-in

Today we are going to slow down and check in. It's important to intentionally check in with your body and integrate what you've been learning.

Day 8: Practice Feeling Good

Today we are going to bring in the concept of feeling good to your body. So often this work focuses on how to stay and feel pain, but its important for us to grow our enjoyment and pleasure muscles as well.

Day 9: Your Stories

Today we're going to look at the beliefs and stories that we grow up to internalize. We'll examine the inner critic, and talk about how we can start to question these internal narratives.

Day 10: Your Stories- Part 2

Today we are diving into an experiential to better understand how your internal stories are existing in your body. We'll be feeling our way through this, but don't worry, I'll be there to role model and regulate with you.

Day 11: Inner Child

Today we open up the topic of the inner child. While we won't dive into the experiential today, this is done intentionally to give your system time to calibrate to your inner child. You'll find todays worksheet will give you enough reflective material to chew on in conjunction with today's video.

Day 12: Inner Child

Today is a precious day as we meet and make contact with the inner child. We'll actually move towards the inner child through an experiential and practice simply witnessing and being with, rather than fixing or changing.

Day 13: Childhood & Identity

Today is an important day where we discuss how your internal narratives of who you are came to fruition. We look at how you're moving through your world today, your sense of worth and value, and as always, how we can see that in the body.

Today we will be examining the urge to fix. This is a common response when something feels uncomfortable, and doesn't always allow for an experience or feeling to be fully integrated or processed.

Today we will continue expanding your window of tolerance and practicing "being with" instead of "fixing". This can be a challenging lesson, and so it has been broken into two pieces. Be gentle with yourself through this process, and remember to slow down if you need.

Today we practice bringing kindness and compassion to ourselves. We'll focus on holding multiple feelings at once, which can feel trick, but gives us room for the honest reality of our dual experiences.
